This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.ophena.com, ophena.de, or ophena.fr (the “Site”).

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

When you visit our website, we will specifically track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

    If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

    We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

    We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

    HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

    We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

    We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Shopify to power our website.     We also use third-party advertising platforms, such as Facebook, Google, Youtube, Instagram and others to send you messages and display ads that are targeted at you (see also next section Behavioural Advertising). Therefore your Personal Data is shared with these third-party advertising platforms and they will attempt to match your profile in their database in order to determine how and when to show you advertisement from ophena.

    Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

    As described above, we use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.     When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

    CHANGES

    We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
